Sports daily Przegląd Sportowy reported that between the Polish national team’s match on Saturday against Denmark (3:2) and Tuesday’s match against Armenia (2:1), several Polish players threw a noisy party that kept other squad members awake.

Although Poland won the game against Armenia, the team was criticized for their sluggish style. Despite their opponents being one player short for about an hour, the Poles only managed to score the winning goal in the last minute of the match.

According to Przegląd Sportowy, some players also played cards and drank beer all night before the match against Denmark.

Unconfirmed reports say that Poland manager Adam Nawałka will shortly investigate the matter, to clear the air in the team before a match with Romania on 11 November. (mol/pk)
