Three weeks before the 11 November game, 22,000 tickets have been sold, according to onet.pl.

The Bucharest stadium drew its biggest number of spectators so far in 2012, when 53,329 watched a game between Romania and the Netherlands. The stadium has a capacity of 55,634, onet.pl reported.

The Polish national team has moved up from 17th to 15th place -- it’s highest ever -- in the latest ranking by world football's governing body FIFA.

Poland moved up two notches following their two recent wins in the qualifying rounds for the 2018 World Cup in Russia. The Poles beat Denmark 3:2 and Armenia 2:1.
