An intense first set ended in a 7:1 tie break in Radwańska’s favour.

The Pole dominated in the second set, taking the last three games in a row.

Radwańska is the favourite in her next match against Czech Karolina Pliskova on Friday, which will secure the winner a spot in the semi-finals.

Radwańska, who is the no. 2 seed, has entered eight WTA Finals tournaments since 2008 and won the championship in 2015. (vb/pk)
