Poland’s Lewandowski shortlisted for FIFA dream team

Polish footballer Robert Lewandowski has made a 55-man shortlist for world football governing body FIFA’s Team of the Year 2016.

Lewandowski, who captains Poland’s national team and is a striker for Bayern Munich, is the only Pole on the list.
Other names on the shortlist include Portugal’s Cristiano Ronaldo, Argentina’s Lionel Messi, as well as Lewandowski’s club-mate, German Thomas Mueller.
The FIFA Team of the Year will be announced on 9 January in Zurich.
