Tennis: Poland’s Radwańska beaten in Sydney finals

Polish tennis star Agnieszka Radwańska has been beaten by Britain’s Johanna Konta in the finals of the WTA Premier tournament in Sydney.

The Pole, currently no. 3 in the WTA world ranking, lost Friday’s match 4: 6, 2: 6.
In the semifinals in Sydney, Radwańska on Thursday beat Czech Barbora Strycova 6:1, 6:2.
Earlier, Radwańska beat America’s Christina McHale 7: 6 (7-1), 6: 1. She had a bye in the opening round.
The Pole won the Sydney tournament in 2013, while in 2012 she reached the semi-finals.
