The 22-year-old Poland international, who plays for Italian side Napoli, has been cleared by the team doctor to return to full training, and may be back on the pitch “in a fortnight,” the Serie A club has said.

Milk ruptured a ligament in his left knee while on international duty with Poland in early October.

Initially, reports suggested Milik could face a six-month break from football after he was injured in Poland’s 3-2 win against Denmark in a World Cup qualifier on 8 October.

Some reports now suggest the striker, who underwent surgery in Italy immediately after suffering the injury, may make the Napoli squad to play against Palermo on 29 January. (str/rg)
