Polish women 9th in team sprint event at Lahti, men 10th

Poland’s Justyna Kowalczyk and Ewelina Marcisz came ninth in the final of team sprint event at the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships in Lahti, Finland.

The event on Sunday was won by the Norwegian team, followed by the Russians and Americans.

Two years ago at the championships in Falun, the Poles won the bronze.

Meanwhile, Polish duo Dominik Bury and Maciej Staręga came tenth in the final of the men’s team sprint at Lahti.

The event was won by the Russians, followed by the Italians and Finns. The Poles were 1.15:06 behind the Russians.

The Nordic World Ski Championships in Lahti run until 5 March.
