Poland’s Kamil Stoch jumped over 7km this season in total

Despite coming second overall in the World Cup, star Polish ski jumper Kamil Stoch has soared the furthest this season -- a total of over 7km, the PAP news agency has reported.

Stoch’s jumps add up to a total of 7,205 metres. His countryman Maciej Kot jumped 7,061.5m all together.

The winner of this year's World Cup title, Austria’s Stefan Kraft, jumped 7,051m in total.

Poland’s Piotr Żyła was seventh in terms of all his jumps together with 6,817m, and David Kubacki 12th with 6,467m.

The Polish ski-jumping team on Sunday won the overall Nations Cup during the Ski Jumping World Cup Final in Planica, Slovenia.

It was the first time in the history of ski jumping that Poland won the competition

Stoch ended Sunday’s competition – the last in this season’s World Cup – in fifth place.
