Brazil is first, having swapped spots with Argentina.

Germany is still ranked third, while Chile, Colombia, France, Belgium, Portugal, Sweden and Spain close off the top 10.

Poland’s rating rose after winning an away game with Montenegro (2:1) in a 2018 World Cup qualifier.

Romania, Denmark, Montenegro, Armenia and Kazakhstan are also Poland’s rivals in the World Cup qualifying round.

Romania – which is ranked 47th, down seven spots since last month – is closest to Poland in the ranking by world football’s governing body.

Armenia climbed 18 spots to 67th after a win against Kazakhstan, while Kazakhstan fell from 94th to 105th place.

Meanwhile, Denmark rose by three places to 51st and Montenegro is ranked 62nd, up two spots. (vb)
