Polish woman with best result in Wings For Life World Run

Poland’s Dominika Stelmach finished the international Wings For Life World Run with the best result by a woman on Sunday.

Running in Santiago de Chile, Stelmach notched up 68.21 km.

Poland’s Bartosz Olszewski had the second best result among the men, completing 88.06 km in Milan.

The Polish Wings For Life race took place in the western city of Poznań.

The Wings For Life World Run is an international charity event that took place in 25 countries with some 155,000 participants taking part.

Runners are chased by a car, which starts half an hour after the competitors with an initial speed of 15 kph. The race ends for a competitor when he or she is overtaken by the car.
