Aubameyang on Saturday scored twice in his team Borussia Dortmund’s 4-3 win against Werder Bremen and finished the season as the division’s top scorer with a total of 31 goals.

Lewandowski failed to score in Bayern Munich’s 4-1 Saturday victory against Freiburg, and ended the season on 30 goals, losing his chance to claim the trophy for a third time in four seasons.

Lewandowski’s Bayern came top of the Bundesliga for a fifth straight season, beating runner-up RB Leipzig by15 points.

The Poland striker’s 30 goals included three hat-tricks and eight braces.

In addition to playing a good Bundesliga season, Lewandowski scored eight goals in nine games in this season’s Champions League, where his Bayern lost in the quarterfinals to Real Madrid.

The striker has also been prolific for the Polish national team, which is well on track to advance to the 2018 World Cup in Russia. Lewandowski, who captains the squad, has eight goals in five matches in the campaign so far, with Poland now set to face off against Romania in Warsaw on June 10. (str/pk)
