Poland’s Wisła to host launch of ski jumping World Cup

The launch of the ski jumping 2017/18 World Cup will take place in the southern Polish mountain resort of Wisła, the Polish Ski Association announced on Friday.

Poland will host the starting competition for the first time.
The team competition will be held on 18 November and the individual competition a day later.
The decision to choose Wisła was made at an International Ski Federation (FIS) conference in Slovenia.
The Polish Ski Association has also said it wants to host the launch of the World Cup in Wisła in 2018-22.
