Tennis: Poland’s Radwańska into third round of French Open

Polish tennis star Agnieszka Radwańska has made it through to the third round of the French Open after beating Belgium’s Alison van Uytvanck 6:7, 6:2, 6:3 on Thursday.

Radwańska will now face France’s Alizé Cornet, ranked no. 43 by the WTA.
So far, the Polish tennis star's best result at the Roland Garros courts in Paris is reaching the quarterfinals in 2013.
Earlier on Thursday, Poland’s Magda Linette advanced to the third round of the French Open after beating Croatia’s Ana Konjuh 6:0, 7:5.
Linette will now take on Ukraine’s Elina Svitolina, whom she will play for the first time in her career.
