Tennis: Poland’s Marcin Matkowski out of French Open

Poland’s Marcin Matkowski and his Czech partner Lucie Hradecká have crashed out of the French Open after losing 1-6, 3-6 to Australia’s Casey Dellacqua and America’s Rajeev Ram in the quarterfinals of the mixed doubles on Monday.

Matkowski was the last Pole left in this year’s French Open.
On Sunday, Poland’s Magda Linette was beaten 4-6, 5-7 by Ukraine’s Elina Svitolina in the third round of the women’s singles.
Polish tennis star Agnieszka Radwańska, the world No. 10, exited the tournament on Saturday after being thrashed 2-6, 1-6 in the third round of the women’s singles by France’s Alizé Cornet, ranked No. 43 by the WTA.
