Athletics: Three golds for Polish under-23s

Polish athletes won three golds, four silver and three bronzes at the European athletics under-23 championships in Bydgoszcz, northern Poland, on Sunday, finishing joint second in the medals tally.

Germany grabbed the most medals, with Poland and Britain equal second.
Poland’s golds were won by Konrad Bukowiecki in the shot put, Ewa Swoboda in the 100 metres and the Polish women's 4x400 metres relay team.
The silvers came from Daria Zabawska in the discus, Klaudia Kardasz in the shot put, Sofia Ennaoui in the 1,500m and the men’s 4x400m relay team.
