Swimming: Wojciech Wojdak wins silver in 800m freestyle

Polish swimmer Wojciech Wojdak won the silver medal in 800m freestyle on Wednesday at the World Aquatics Championships in Budapest, Hungary.

The Polish champion’s time was 7:41.73. The winner was Italy’s Gabriele Detti with 7:40.77, while Italian Gregorio Paltrinieri was in third place with 7:42.44.

Wojdak improved his own Polish record by 4.17 seconds. (mol/pk)
