Cycling: Pole wins stage of Vuelta a Espana

Tomasz Marczyński has won a stage of the Vuelta a Espana cycling race, becoming the second-ever Polish cyclist to achieve the feat after Przemysław Niemiec did it in 2014.

Marczyński won the race's sixth, eastern-Spanish 204.4-kilometre leg, from Villarreal to Sagunto, beating fellow Pole Paweł Poljański to the finish line.
"Phenomenal, it's an incredible feeling. I came here really wanting to win a stage. I didn't think it would happen so soon," Marczynski said, according to cyclingnews.com.
Spaniard Enric Mas came third, while Chris Froome held on to the leader's red jersey.
