Poland international Grzegorz Krychowiak is moving to English Premier League side West Bromwich Albion on loan after an uninspiring season in Paris Saint-Germain.

The 27-year-old midfielder joins West Brom on a season-long loan after failing to make an impact in France’s Ligue 1 division.

Krychowiak played his last official match for PSG on March 8, when he made a brief appearance in his team’s Champions League game against Barcelona.

Before joining PSG, Krychowiak played for Spain’s Sevilla from 2014 to 2016, winning two Europa League titles with the club.

PSG signed Krychowiak for EUR 45 million in June last year.

The West Brom website has quoted Krychowiak as saying: “I had a lot of propositions from Spain and Italy. But this is a very ambitious club. There's a good atmosphere here.”

According to the website, “Grzegorz comes to the Baggies with a wealth of experience, boasting two Europa League winners' medals from his time at Sevilla and 45 caps for his country.”

The English club also notes that last season Krychowiak “contributed to a triple success" for PSG, "winning the Trophee des Champions, Coupe de la Ligue and Coupe de France."

Meanwhile, after months of warming the bench at PSG, Krychowiak has lost a place in the Polish national squad, which is preparing to take on Denmark in Copenhagen on 1 September and Kazakhstan in Warsaw on 4 September as part of its 2018 World Cup campaign.
