Ahead of the match, Poland manager Adam Nawałka has told a news conference that "all the players are healthy and ready for action."

He also said that the players were “well prepared physically as well as mentally” and focused on the clash with Denmark, which kicks off at 8:45pm.

After six matches, Poland are top of their qualifying Group E and well on track to advance to next year's tournament in Russia. They are on 16 points, with five wins and a draw, six points ahead of their closest competitors, Montenegro and Denmark.

"We are in a very good position, but we have earned this with our hard work,” Nawałka told reporters in Copenhagen on Thursday.

“The willpower and determination of our players make us confident. Of course, we are respectful of all our rivals, so we prepare for a match with each and every one of them very seriously,” he said.

Experts say Friday's match against Denmark may prove to be the toughest challenge for Poland in their 2018 World Cup campaign so far.

In their next World Cup qualifier, Poland will face off against Kazakhstan in Warsaw on Monday. (gs/pk)
