The match on Wednesday saw the Poles losing for the fourth time in the tournament.

This was Poland’s last match in the tournament's group stage as the squad played for a place in the final 16.

Earlier in the tournament, the Poles lost 75-78 to France, were beaten 81-90 by Slovenia, beat Iceland 91-61, and were defeated 87-90 by Finland.

The 40th European Basketball Championships, which run until 17 September, are being hosted by Israel, Romania, Finland and Turkey, after Ukraine declined to hold the event because of its turbulent political situation. (gs/pk)
