On Tuesday, the Poles, under coach Miłosz Stępiński, will take on group favourite Switzerland in their next World Cup qualifier.

Scotland and Albania are also in the Poles’ qualifying group, with only the top finisher guaranteed qualification for the 2019 World Cup in France.

The Polish team is ranked 30th in the world, Switzerland are No. 16, Scotland No. 22, Belarus No. 49, and Albania No. 73.

The Poles have been unbeaten since 7 June last year. (gs/pk)
