Tennis: Poland’s Janowicz into round of 16 at Stockholm Open

Poland’s Jerzy Janowicz has made it through to the round of 16 at the Stockholm Open after beating France’s Pierre-Hugues Herbert 6:2, 3:6, 6:3 on Wednesday.

Janowicz is competing in his first tour-level main draw since advancing to the third round of Wimbledon in July.
On Thursday Janowicz will play Bulgaria’s Grigor Dimitrov for a place in the Stockholm Open quarterfinals.
Janowicz and Dimitrov have played each other twice this year. In February in Sofia, the Bulgarian won, while Janowicz emerged the winner of their showdown in Stuttgart in June.
