Norway came first on Saturday, in what was the first ever season kick-off hosted by Poland. Germany came fourth and Japan fifth.

The Polish jumpers -- Piotr Żyła, Dawid Kubacki, Maciej Kot and Kamil Stoch -- were in the lead after the first series of jumps but then Norway pulled ahead.

The men’s individual competition takes place in Wisła on Sunday, with seven Poles competing.

The 2017/2018 ski-jumping World Cup features 31 competitions, including eight team events, in eight countries.

The competitions will be held on a total of 18 hills, including three ski-flying hills.

Polish ski jumpers dominated the last World Cup season as a team, winning the Nations Cup overall.
