Poland’s Stoch coasts through Ski Jumping World Cup qualification

Polish ski-jumping champ Kamil Stoch headed the World Cup qualification in the southern city of Zakopane on Friday.

Stoch jumped 137 metres, winning 160.4 points. He was followed by two German athletes, Markus Eisenbichler, with 136.5 metres and 150.3 points, and Richard Freitag, with 136.5 metres and 149 points.
All the Polish ski jumpers advanced to Sunday's individual tournament, while four Poles, Kamil Stoch, Dawid Kubacki, Stefan Hula and Maciej Kot were selected to represent Poland in the team event.
Fifty-seven contenders from 12 countries took part in the qualification. (aba)
