Winter Olympics: Polish figure skaters finish 14th

Polish figure skaters Natalia Kaliszek and Maksym Spodyriev finished in 14th place in the Ice Dance-Free Dance event at the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics in South Korea on Tuesday.

Kaliszek and Spodyriev, who performed to music from the movie The Great Gatsby, scored 161.35 points.

The gold went to Canada’s Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir with 206.07 points, a world record.

Silver went to France’s Gabriella Papadakis and Guillaume Cizeron, on 205.28 points, and bronze to American siblings Maia and Alex Shibutani, with 192.59 points.

Spodyriev, who was born in Ukraine, moved to Poland in 2014 and was granted Polish citizenship two years later.
