Tennis: Poland’s Rosolska out of Indian Wells

Poland’s Alicja Rosolska and her American partner Abigail Spears have crashed out of the doubles tennis tournament at the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells.

Rosolska and Spears were beaten 6:3, 4:6, 8:10 in the first round of the US tournament by Taiwan’s Hsieh Su-wei and the Czech Republic’s Barbora Strycova.
In the singles, Poland’s Agnieszka Radwańska faces Japan’s Naomi Osaka.
Osaka claimed a straight-set 6:4, 6:4 victory over Russia’s Maria Sharapova, a former world number one, in the first round on Wednesday.
