Liverpool's Mohamed Salah continues to lead the race for the European Golden Shoe award for the top scorer of the 2017/2018 season, while Lewandowski is in joint second-place with Barcelona’s Argentinian ace Lionel Messi and Ciro Immobile of Italian side Lazio.

Lewandowski scored a hat-trick as his Bayern Munich side routed Dortmund 6-0 in a German Bundesliga match on Saturday.

The Polish goal machine, who plays for Bayern and also captains Poland’s national squad, found the back of the net in the 5th, 44th and 87th minutes of the game.

Earlier last month, Lewandowski bagged a hat-trick as Bayern routed Hamburg 6-0.

Lewandowski has scored 26 goals in the German Bundesliga this season and comfortably leads the table among the division's top scorers.
