Slovenia took part in the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics in South Korea in February and were tipped by many as a favourite in Budapest, but have disappointed their fans so far.

The Poles’ victory on Monday came a day after they lost 1:3 to Italy. Poland face off against Britain on Wednesday.

The two top teams will be promoted to the elite division. The weakest team will be relegated to division I B.
