The players will spend six days in the coastal resort of Jurata in the north of Poland recharging their batteries rather than training heavily, according to officials.

Two key players, Bayern Munich star striker Robert Lewandowski and Borussia Dortmund right-back Łukasz Piszczek, will not go to Jurata but join the team later, according to Poland's PAP news agency.

The Polish team will begin to train in earnest ahead of the World Cup when they next week head to Arłamów, a mountain resort in southeastern Poland

The Polish football players will stay in Arłamów from May 28 to June 7, according to the Polish Football Association (PZPN).

The Poland manager earlier this month named a preliminary 35-man squad for the tournament.

Adam Nawałka on Friday whittled down the squad to 32 players.

The lineup includes some fresh faces such as Sebastian Szymański and Szymon Żurkowski from Polish premier-league clubs, in addition to heavyweights such as Juventus goalkeeper Wojciech Szczęsny.

Nawałka is due to name the final 23-man lineup for the World Cup on June 5.

Poland have booked their place at this year’s World Cup in Russia and will play two friendly matches at home ahead of the championships. They will face off against Chile in the western city of Poznań on June 8 and play Lithuania at the National Stadium in Warsaw on June 12.

The World Cup kicks off on June 14 and runs until July 15. Poland take on Senegal, Colombia and Japan in the group stage of the tournament.
