Legia Warsaw were in the lead 2-0 when the referee suspended the match in the 77th minute after Lech Poznań supporters let off flares at the stadium and invaded the pitch on Sunday.

Later in the evening the premier league commission decided to award Legia a win by default.

“Congratulations to Legia Warsaw for winning the Polish championship title!” Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki tweeted on Sunday, adding that he expected decisive action to be taken against football hooligans.
