The 25:21, 26:24, 21:25, 25:17 victory on Sunday in the southern Polish city of Kraków was the third in a row for the Poles in the first stage of matches in the league.

Playing under new coach Vital Heynen, Poland on Friday beat South Korea 3-0 in the southern city of Katowice, and a day later defeated Russia in Kraków with the same score.

The Poles play their next series of games in the league from June 1 to 3 in Łódź, central Poland, taking on France, China and Germany.

The Volleyball Nations League is a new idea from the FIVB, the sport’s international governing body. The men’s international volleyball tournament is contested by 16 national teams and replaces the World Grand Prix.
