Poland dominated the match from the start in Koszalin, northwestern Poland, and were leading 5:2 after nine minutes of play.

After gaining a comfortable ten-point lead with a score of 20:10 early in the second half, Poland's coach Leszek Krowicki substituted all seven players on the court with reserve team members.

Poland has qualified for the biannual European handball championships for the third time in a row.

The tournament starts on November 29 and ends on December 16. (vb/pk)
