Crowds of Poles dressed from head to toe in white and red and waving the Polish flag have descended on the Russian capital ahead of Poland’s first World Cup football match against Senegal on Tuesday.

The meet will be held at that stadium of Moscow football club Spartak which has the same colours as Poland’s national team.

Poles have been heading to the stadium for the past two days to, as they say, familiarise themselves with the commute and to ensure the mood at the venue is favourable for the Polish team, IAR reported. (vb)
