Meanwhile, Polish officials Paweł Sokolnicki and Tomasz Listkiewicz have been selected as assistant referees for the encounter, which kicks off at 8 pm Polish time.

Marciniak last Saturday officiated a World Cup game in which Argentina drew 1-1 with Iceland in Moscow.

The 2018 World Cup in Russia kicked off on June 14 and runs until July 15.

Poland lost 1-2 to Senegal in their first game at the tournament on Tuesday.

Poland next take on Colombia and Japan in the group stage of the World Cup.

Marciniak refereed matches during the Euro 2016 tournament in France.
