Poland coach Adam Nawałka is to leave his post on July 30, the head of Polish football’s governing body said after the national team's disappointing performance at the 2018 World Cup.

According to media reports, Nawałka's future as the team's coach died together with Poland’s early exit from the World Cup in Russia.

Poland failed to advance to the knockout phase of the tournament after losing 1-2 to Senegal and 0-3 to Colombia in the group stage. Poland won its final group-stage game against Japan 1-0.

Nawałka had coached the team since 2013, taking the Poles to the quarterfinals of the European championships in France two years ago.
