UEFA has sanctioned the Polish Football Association (PZPN) for alleged racist behaviour by Polish supporters during a Nations League match against Italy earlier this month.

The ethics committee of UEFA, European football's governing body, imposed a partial stadium ban and a EUR 2,000 fine on the association after Polish fans allegedly chanted racist slogans and set off flares at Bologna’s Stadio Renato Dall’Ara during Poland’s clash with Italy, which ended in a 1-1 tie.
The ethics committee ordered “the partial closure of [the Silesian Stadium in Chorzów] during the next UEFA competition match in which PZPN would [be] the host association,” UEFA said, according to Football Italia.
The ban involves a 1,000-seat sector, which is to be covered by a banner with the inscription #EqualGame, UEFA’s slogan promoting diversity and inclusion in football.
