The game was due to kick off at 8:45 pm at the Silesian Stadium in the southern Polish city of Chorzów.

Poland manager Jerzy Brzęczek last week released a list of 27 players called up for the match against Portugal and a Nations League encounter with Italy in Chorzów on Sunday.

Poland in early September drew 1-1 with Italy in their first match in the group stage of the UEFA Nations League. The match, at Stadio Renato Dall'Ara in Bologna, was a promising debut by Brzęczek as manager of the Polish national squad.

Brzęczek took over after the national squad's early exit from the World Cup in Russia.

Poland on September 11 drew 1-1 with Ireland in a friendly game after a lacklustre display that left fans disappointed.

Football megastar Cristiano Ronaldo has not been selected to play for Portugal against Poland on Thursday.
