Belgium have moved to the top of the FIFA rankings, narrowly ahead of world champions France.

Belgium and France were joint No. 1 in the previous edition of the rankings, the first time two teams shared the top spot.

Brazil remain No. 3, ahead of World Cup runners-up Croatia.

Poland this month lost 2-3 to Portugal and 0-1 to Italy in two bitter home defeats in the new UEFA Nations League.

The Polish team suffered an early exit from the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

Poland last year climbed to No. 5 in the FIFA table, the best result for the Polish team since the world football governing body’s ranking was launched in 1992.

Poland's lowest place was 78th, in 2013.
