Football: Lech Poznań job for ex-Poland boss

“I’m treating my work with Lech Poznań as a challenge,” Nawałka has told reporters. “I will have the opportunity to test my potential and experience."

Nawałka held his first training session with his new team on Monday.

Lech Poznań, who play in Poland’s Ekstraklasa division, announced on Sunday they had signed a two-and-a half-year contract with Nawałka.

Nawałka stepped down as Poland manager this summer after the national squad's early World Cup exit disappointed fans.

He was replaced by Jerzy Brzęczek.
