Swimming: World championship bronze for Poland’s Kawęcki

Poland’s Radosław Kawęcki has taken the bronze in the men’s 200 m backstroke at the Swimming Short-Course World Championships in Hangzhou, China.

Russia’s Evgeny Rylov won the event on Sunday, with a time of 1:47.02, while Ryan Murphy of the United States finished second with 1:47.34.

Kawęcki touched in at 1:48.25, coming in joint third with Australia’s Mitchell Larkin.

Kawęcki’s bronze was the only medal for Poland at the International Swimming Federation's (FINA) 2018 Short-Course World Championships, which ended in Hangzhou on Sunday.
