The three-time Olympic champion and winner of last year’s World Cup soared 140 metres in the first round of the event and followed up with 134.5 metres in the second round. He topped the standings with 331 points.

Dawid Kubacki came second with 299.4 points, followed by Stefan Hula, with 284.8 points.

Stoch told Poland’s PAP news agency: “It was a great tournament ... I jumped with great ease. Also, there was an impressive number of fans attending the event, which always makes me glad.”

The three medalists, alongside Jakub Wolny, Piotr Żyła and Aleksander Zniszczoł, are gearing up to take part in the prestigious Four Hills Tournament, which opens in Obersdorf, Germany, on December 30.
