Tennis: Poland’s Rosolska into WTA Sydney doubles semi-finals

Poland’s Alicja Rosolska and Japan’s Eri Hozumi have made it into the semi-finals of the women’s doubles at the WTA Sydney International tennis tournament in Australia.

In the quarter-finals, the pair on Wednesday beat Germany’s Anna-Lena Groenefeld and America’s Vania King 6-3, 2-6, 10-8.
Rosolska and Hozumi on Thursday take on Slovenia’s Andreja Klepac and Spain’s Maria Jose Martinez Sanchez to play for a place in the finals.
In the round of 16 at the WTA Sydney International, Rosolska and Hozumi beat Georgia’s Oksana Kalashnikova and Germany’s Tatjana Maria 7-5, 6-3.
Rosolska and Hozumi last week made it to the quarter-finals of the WTA Brisbane International, where they were beaten by China’s Xu Yifan and Canada’s Gabriela Dabrowski.
