The head of the Polish Ski Association (PZN), Apoloniusz Tajner, said the Polish team is exceptionally strong.

“Lately, competitions have shown that Poles are jumping at a very high level and have a strong leader,” Tajner said.

He added: “Kamil Stoch is finally jumping at his best. He is in great shape.”

Poland’s Piotr Żyła took third place in a World Cup competition in Willingen, Germany, on Sunday, while his teammate Kamil Stoch came second on Saturday.

Last Friday Polish ski jumpers won the team competition in Willingen.

In an interview with the Gazeta Wyborcza daily ahead of the ski jumping competition at the Nordic World Ski Championships in Seefeld, Żyła said he is in good shape, and not thinking about his past wins and losses.
