The event, which begins on Wednesday and runs until Sunday, March 3, is being held in Poland for the second time.
Competitors include top Polish track cyclists such as Szymon Sajnok, current world champion in the omnium category; Bartosz Rudyk, ranked no. 4 in the UCI sprinters’ classification; and Wojciech Pszczolarski, bronze medallist at the 2017 Hong Kong World Cup as well as Adrian Tekliński, who won gold in the men's scratch race at the same event.
Among women competitors, 21-year-old Justyna Kaczkowska, who is third in the UCI classification, has been touted as one of the favourites.
