The 30-year-old on Saturday scored twice as his Bayern Munich side routed Wolfsburg 6-0, bringing his total Bundesliga goal tally to 197.

The Poland international has moved in the all-time standings ahead of Claudio Pizarro, a 40-year-old Peruvian who plays for Werder Bremen and has 195 goals.

Lewandowski has scored 17 goals in the German Bundesliga this season and currently leads the table among the division’s top scorers.

The Polish goal machine was in May last year crowned the Bundesliga's top scorer for the 2017/2018 season, his third such trophy since he began playing in Germany in 2010.
