Three medals for Polish wrestlers in Bucharest

Poland won three medals, two silver and one bronze, at the European wrestling championships, which ended in Bucharest on Sunday.

Poland’s Gevorg Sahakyan took the silver in the men’s 67 kg Greco-Roman on the last day of competition in the Romanian capital.

Earlier in the championships, Poland’s Zbigniew Baranowski won silver in the men’s 92 kg freestyle, and Magomedmurad Gadzhiev claimed bronze in the men’s 70 kg freestyle.

The 2019 European Wrestling Championships were held in Bucharest from April 8 to 14.

Poland scooped four medals, two silver and two bronze, at last year’s European wrestling championships in Kaspiysk, Russia.
