Poland decided to purchase the unmanned aerial vehicle (UVAs), commonly referred to as drones, in 2009.
The vehicles were to be deployed in Afghanistan, to help protect the Polish mission in Ghazni.
The Israeli company won the tender by offering the lowest price, but the Ministry decided continuous failures to meet the deadlines call for severing of the contract.
"This gives ground for discussion whether the principle of choosing the cheapest offer is the best approach,"
said Defence Minister Tomasz Siemoniak.
Slawek Szefs looks at the Polish-Israeli cooperation on military equipment and the measures introduced in Afghanistan in place of the drones.
