The European Congress Party (EPP) has held its Congress in Bucharest this week. During the two-day event Wilfried Martens was re-elected its chairman while MEP from Poland's ruling Civic Platform (PO), Jacek Saryusz-Wolski one of its vice-presidents.
Among members of the European People's Party from Poland are the ruling Civic Platform (PO) and its junior coalition partner the Polish Peasants' Party (PSL). EPP is the most numerous faction in the European Parliament. It numbers 264 deputies from 26 members of the bloc.
