Born without a right hand and forearm, the 23 year-old athlete from Gdansk, northern Poland, won the table tennis gold medal at the Paralympics in September after getting to the last 32 at London 2012 a month earlier.

In 2008, Natalia, who began playing table tennis at the age of 7, was awarded the Order of Polonia Restituta, one of Poland’s top honours, for services to sport.
