"No more empy talks," said Stefan Fuele during his visit to Ukraine for talks with Prime Minister Mykola Azarov.

According to EU Enlargement Commissioner, the former Soviet republic must demonstrate “swift and tangible progress” on issues from selective justice to the “shortcomings” of parliamentary elections held in October, as well as carry out reforms of its judiciary system.

Meanwhile economists are saying Ukraine is in recession with its GDP having recorded a drop in the last two quarters of last year.

Poland has been supporting the pro-European aspirations of its eastern neighbour for many years now including it in its flagship EU program of the Eastern Partnership Project.
